The Virtual Emergency Room is a complete success
Since the middle of 2016, some 50,000 patient transports have been performed using the Virtual Emergency Room patient terminals developed by APUS Software. This is a good time to take stock, and it looks like the Virtual ER is a complete success. At Graz University Hospital there has been a reduction in the burden on ambulances, as patients can now be distributed among multiple hospitals to avoid admission backlogs. The system will now be expanded to other rescue organizations as well as hospitals close to the border.
